Princeton University, New Jersey,
KPMB Architects, 2012 - 2013

Client: Princeton University‘s Schools of Economics and International Initiatives
Phase: Schematic Design through Construction Documents
Contribution: During the first portion of my involvement on the project, we utilized the original 1929 drawings to build a 3-dimensional model in Autodesk Revit as the starting point for Schematic Design. I returned to the team at the end of Schematic Design. During Design Development, my greatest task was to create two rendered walkthroughs of the project using 3D Studio Max Design and Adobe Premiere. I was also responsible for our Zoning Variance submission and a number of other presentations and submittals. Since the beginning of Construction Documents, I have been involved with more specific building elements, such detailing doors, column cladding and elevator design. I will be continuing on the project for the Construction Admin phase, commencing February 2014.

The school outlined a number of very specific goals, which instigated the following response from KPMB Architects: Excellence in programming in order to create a vibrant learning environment; enhancing the heritage value whilst introducing contemporary architectural interventions; individual departmental spaces that come together to create a coherent building identity; connections to exterior campus green spaces and pedestrian pathways.
